Fasting and Wellbeing

Oruva supports a decision you have already made. It cannot tell you whether fasting is appropriate, safe, or beneficial for you.

Use informed judgment

Fasting affects people differently. Personal health, medication, pregnancy, age, eating-disorder history, work, exercise, and other circumstances can make fasting unsuitable. Get individual guidance from a qualified professional when you are uncertain.

Stop if you feel unwell

End the fast if you feel unwell. Seek appropriate medical help when needed. Completing a timer is never more important than your wellbeing.

What Oruva does

  • Times a 12, 16, 18, 20, or 24-hour fast you choose.
  • Returns your private reason during a difficult moment.
  • Offers a ten-minute pause before you decide what to do.
  • Lets you end intentionally or for wellbeing at any time.

What Oruva does not do

  • Recommend that you fast.
  • Prescribe a schedule or nutritional plan.
  • Diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure a condition.
  • Replace professional advice or emergency care.

A healthier commitment design

Oruva records honest outcomes rather than punishing an ended fast. The support flow keeps a safe ending available, and wellbeing endings do not become a source of shame. Learn more in the weekly fasting guide.
